The Self-Care button is light up and the other buttons are alternatively lighting upUpdated a month ago

This can be due to any of the following reasons:

  1. THE FILTER IS ALREADY USED UP - The installed filter is already used up.
  2. BLOCKAGE AND CHOKING IN THE PIPES - There could be a blockage in the water flow causing it to choke.
  3. VALVE NEEDS REPLACEMENT.

To help resolve the issue under these other causes, please check the following:

  • IF THE FILTER HAS RECENTLY BEEN CHANGED WITHIN ThE PAST 6 MONTHS OR LESS
    • If the filter has been changed recently, this may be due to choking or needs a valve replacement. Please take a video (30 seconds to 1 minute) clearly showing the touch panel of the machine. Once done, please get in touch with our customer support team at https://support.sterra.sg/en-US/ssp/login and send the video for further help.
  • IF THE FILTER HASN'T BEEN CHANGED FOR 6 MONTHS OR MORE
    • The filter has to be changed first to rule out the problem of the filter being used up.

Filter Replacement Guidelines

  1. Open the filter cover.
  2. Turn the inlet valve on the side to the 12 o'clock position.
  3. Lift up the existing filter and pull it down to remove it. Some water may drip a little bit.
  4. Insert a new filter with the same label into the fitting and push down.
  5. [VERY IMPORTANT] Turn the inlet valve on the side to the 3 o'clock position and open the valve.
  6. Close the filter cover.
  7. To activate flushing, press and hold "Self Care + Ambient" for 5 seconds.
  8. Flushing will start and the dispense button will be blinking.
  9. Wait about 15 minutes and all lights on the machine will turn off. This means flushing is done.
  10. To reset the filter, press and hold the "Dispense + Ambient" button for 3 seconds.

If you follow these steps and your water purifier's water flow is still slow, please take a video (30 seconds to 1 minute) clearly showing the problem.
