Sterra Titan — Not Removing Enough MoistureUpdated an hour ago

The Sterra Titan is designed to continuously pull moisture out of the air to manage room humidity and generate clean drinking water. If you feel the room is still too humid, or if the water extraction rate seems unusually low, it is usually because the machine's airflow is restricted or the room environment exceeds its physical capacity.

For the Titan to capture airborne moisture efficiently, it requires a steady, unrestricted stream of air and a properly sized space.

Troubleshooting & Optimization Steps

Please walk through these 4 simple steps to maximize your Sterra Titan's moisture extraction power:

Lower the Humidity Target Setting:.

Check the current room humidity percentage displayed on your Titan's front screen. Go into your settings and lower the target humidity setting to at least 3% below that start-up number. If the target is set too close to the room's actual humidity, the smart sensors will throttle back extraction to save energy.

Clean the Air Filter:

A dusty air filter suffocates the machine, preventing moisture-rich air from passing over the internal cooling coils. Slide out the air filter from the unit, gently rinse away any dust build-up under warm tap water, let it air dry completely, and slide it back in.

Clear the Air Vents:.

Ensure there is at least 30 cm (12 inches) of completely open space around all sides of the Sterra Titan. Check that curtains, furniture, or walls are not blocking the air intake grilles or the exhaust vents, as restricted airflow slashes extraction efficiency by up to 50%.

Evaluate Your Room Size:

The Sterra Titan is optimized for standard residential rooms. If you are using it in a very large, open-concept space, a high-ceiling loft, or a room with constant heavy cross-breezes, a single unit may be overwhelmed. Consider moving the Titan to a smaller, sealed area, or utilizing an additional unit to cover the extra square footage.

Still Having Trouble?

If you have cleaned the filter, cleared the vents, lowered your target humidity settings in a closed room, and the machine still fails to pull moisture out of the air after 24 hours, the internal refrigerant levels may need to be checked.
