Sterra Sun — HS ErrorUpdated 2 days ago
If your Sterra Sun screen is displaying an HS error code, the unit's built-in safety sensors have detected an internal airflow blockage or a sudden temperature spike around the air intake.
Follow these 3 steps to safely reset the sensors and restore your machine’s airflow:
The Reset and Airflow Optimization Sequence
1.1. Power down and rest for 2 hours: Clears sensor memory lockups.
Turn the Sterra Sun off and completely unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Leave the machine entirely disconnected for at least 2 full hours to let the internal components cool down completely back to room temperature.
2.2. Optimize the machine's location: Eliminates heat traps.
While your machine is resting, choose a new location for it. Move your Sterra Sun to a cool, open space with plenty of ventilation. Ensure there is at least 30cm of open space on all sides of the unit, and keep it away from direct sunlight, tight corners, or other appliances that produce heat.
3.3. Check and clean the air vents: Clear intake obstructions.
Take a quick look at the rear air intake vents. If you see any accumulated dust or lint blocking the grilles, gently wipe it away with a dry, clean cloth or a soft brush to ensure maximum airflow when restarted.
Still seeing the HS code after the reset?
After 2 hours of rest, plug the unit directly back into a wall socket and turn it on. If the HS error code pops right back up, the internal temperature or airflow sensor has suffered a hardware fault and needs to be inspected.
