Sterra S — Room Warm and Hot Icons with Volume Icons Lit on Touch PanelUpdated 2 hours ago

If your Sterra S display screen is frozen with the Room, Warm, Hot, and Volume Icons all turned on at the same time, your machine has activated its thermal safety lock. This happens when the internal heating system becomes too hot due to restricted airflow, causing the computer to safely freeze operations until the heat clears.

Follow this exact step-by-step method to cool the system down and clear the frozen display:

The Thermal Reset Sequence

1.Completely power down and unplug:2 Hours Minimum.

Locate the main power switch at the back of your Sterra S and turn it OFF. Unplug the power cord directly from the wall socket. Let the machine sit undisturbed for a minimum of 2 full hours to allow the internal water reservoirs and heating elements to cool safely down to room temperature.

2.Wash the rear dust filter:While the machine cools.

Slide out the mesh dust filter located on the back panel of the unit. Wash it thoroughly under cool, running tap water to clear away any trapped dust, hair, or lint blocking the airflow. Shake off the excess water and let it dry completely in a well-ventilated area.

3.Verify ventilation clearance:Prevent future heat traps.

While the unit is cooling down, ensure the machine has at least 4 inches (10 cm) of open space on all sides (back, left, and right). Pull the machine away from walls or other kitchen appliances so that the exhaust fan can freely vent warm air out of the cabinet.

4.Re-insert and power back on:Testing the system.

Once the 2-hour window has passed and your filter is 100% dry, slide the filter frame back into place. Plug the power cord back in and flip the rear switch ON. Let the system complete its initialization cycle to see if the display returns to its normal standby view.

⚠️ Safety Notice: If you complete this process and the same group of lights locks up your screen again within a few minutes of turning it on, do not attempt to repeat the steps. Turn the rear switch off immediately and contact our Customer Support Team

  1. Log in to our Customer Support Portal.

  2. Submit a support ticket describing the issue.

  3. Attach a short video (at least 1 minute long) showing the error happening. This will help our technical team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster for you.
