Sterra S — How to Disable Cold Water FunctionUpdated 2 hours ago
If your household prefers room-temperature water, or if you are leaving your home for a vacation and want to save electricity, you can completely turn off the cooling engine on your Sterra S without disabling the rest of the machine.
Follow these quick steps to shut down the cold water function:
The 5-Second Cold-Off Shortcut
You can perform this procedure at any time while the machine is plugged in, turned on, and sitting idle.
Locate the Cold button on your touch control panel. (It should currently be glowing blue, showing that the cooling engine is running).
Press and hold your finger down on the Cold button for 5 continuous seconds.
Do not lift your finger early. Listen for a clear, audible "beep" tone.
The moment the machine beeps, release your finger. The bright blue light behind the Cold icon will turn completely off.
Once the light is dark, the internal cooling tank will stop chilling. Any water drawn from the Cold tap will safely transition to standard room-temperature water.
How to Turn the Cold Function Back On
When you are ready to enjoy crisp, icy-cold water again, simply press and hold the Cold button down for 5 seconds until you hear the confirmation beep. The icon will light up bright blue again.
Note: Please allow 30 to 45 minutes after turning it back on for the internal compressor to fully chill the water reservoir to its standard temperature.
