Sterra S — How to Change Default Temperature SettingUpdated 2 hours ago
By default, your Sterra S is programmed to select Room Temperature water every time you step up to use it. If your household prefers drinking chilled water, you don't have to press the "Cold" button every single time you want a drink! You can easily reprogram the machine's memory to default to Cold Water instead.
Follow these quick steps to lock in your preferred baseline temperature:
The Quick Re-Programming Sequence
You can change this setting at any time while the machine is plugged in, turned on, and sitting idle.
Locate the Cold button and the Room Temperature button on your touch control panel.
Place two fingers down and press and hold both the Cold and Room Temperature buttons together at the exact same time.
Keep holding both buttons down for 3 to 5 continuous seconds.
Listen for the Tone: The moment you hear a clear, audible "beep" from the machine, release your fingers.
How to Verify the Change
Walk away from the purifier or wait a few minutes for the touch screen to go dim/idle.
Tap the panel to wake it up. If you successfully changed the memory, the Cold icon will now automatically light up by default.
Want to change it back? Simply repeat the exact same steps (hold Cold + Room together for 5 seconds until it beeps) to instantly toggle the machine's default setting back to Room Temperature.
