Sterra Paws — Power Indicator Light is OffUpdated 4 hours ago
If the power indicator light on your Sterra Paws is completely unlit and the screen is dark, it usually means electricity isn't reaching the internal computer board. Because our furry friends love to run around and nudge things, the power cord can easily slide out of place without you noticing.
Please follow this quick checklist to restore power to your purifier:
1. Check the Hidden Base Connection
The Sterra Paws features a pet-safe, detachable power cord. It connects to a hidden input port located at the very bottom or back of the machine.
Turn off your wall socket and unplug the adapter plug.
Turn the Sterra Paws over and locate the power input port.
Firmly push the cylindrical metal pin of the cable deep into the port until it fits snugly and flush against the plastic shell. If this connection is even slightly loose, the power light will stay off.
2. Verify the Wall Socket & Bypass Power Strips
Sometimes the issue is with the wall outlet itself or an overloaded extension cord.
Plug the black adapter block directly into a main wall socket rather than a multi-plug extension strip or surge protector.
To make sure the outlet has power, temporarily plug a different device (like a phone charger or a lamp) into that exact same socket. If that device doesn't turn on, your home's circuit breaker may have tripped.
3. The 10-Second Reset
Once both ends of the cord are firmly plugged in:
Give the Power Button on the touch panel a single, quick tap. (Avoid holding it down, as a quick tap is all it needs to initialize the boot sequence).
Still Not Powering On?
If your power light is still stubbornly off after checking both ends of the cable and testing a fresh outlet, your power adapter might have internal damage.
