Sterra Paws — Filter Indicator Light FlashesUpdated 4 hours ago
If the filter indicator light on your Sterra Paws Pet Air Purifier is flashing, the machine's internal sensor is trying to tell you that its airflow is restricted. This is usually caused by a heavily saturated filter or a physical blockage around the air vents.
Please follow these 3 simple steps to clear the flashing light:
1. Check for Airflow Blockages
Because the Sterra Paws traps floating pet fur, large lint or a loose object can sometimes get sucked against the air intake grilles or fall into the top exhaust fan.
Turn off and unplug the unit.
Check the side intake grilles all around the bottom and the top air outlet. Remove any accumulated pet hair clumps, curtains, loose papers, or foreign objects.
Ensure the purifier has at least 1 to 2 feet of open space on all sides so it can pull air freely.
2. Inspect the Filter Age & Condition
If the vents are completely clear, your filter has likely hit its operational limit (typically every 6 to 12 months depending on your pet environment) and its pores are choked with microscopic particles.
Remove the bottom cover and take out the filter.
Inspect the outer grey layer. If it is heavily discolored or caked in fur, it is time to replace it with a fresh Sterra Paws replacement filter to restore your machine's air cleaning power.
3. Perform the 7-Second Reset Sequence
The Sterra Paws does not automatically know when you clean or replace the filter. The light will continue flashing until you manually clear its memory chip.
Plug the machine back in and give the Power Button a single, quick tap to turn it on.
Locate the Timer Button on the touch control panel.
Press and hold down the Timer Button for 7 consecutive seconds.
Release the button the moment you hear a clear "beep" sound. The flashing light will instantly turn off, resetting your filter life tracker back to 100%.
