Sterra Paws — Filter Indicator Always On or Long Loading ScreenUpdated 3 days ago
If your Sterra Paws Pet Air Purifier is displaying a persistent "Change Filter" light, or if it seems stuck on a long loading screen when you try to turn it on, please don't worry. This is usually caused by a simple sensor misalignment or a button timing trick rather than a faulty machine.
Please follow these easy steps to get your unit running normally again:
Issue 1: Machine is Stuck on a "Long Loading Screen"
If your screen is stuck loading or blinking when you try to start it, you might be accidentally triggering a diagnostic loop.
The Quick Tap Rule: When turning on the Sterra Paws, give the Power Button a single, quick tap.
Do not hold the power button down. Pressing and holding the power button forces the machine into a network-pairing or diagnostic boot-up cycle, which looks like a frozen or long loading screen.
Issue 2: The "Filter Change" Indicator Light Won't Turn Off
The Sterra Paws relies on an internal timer chip to track filter usage. It cannot automatically detect when you put a brand-new filter inside, so you must manually clear its memory cache.
To clear the stuck indicator light, follow this exact sequence:
Check the Placement: Turn the unit upside down and ensure the filter is sitting completely flat and the bottom lid is twisted tightly into the "CLOSE" locked position. This ensures the internal filter sensor button is fully pressed down.
Power Up: Turn the unit on with a single quick tap of the Power Button.
Perform the Reset Sequence: Locate the Timer Button on the touch control panel. Press and hold down the Timer Button for 7 consecutive seconds.
Listen for the Beep: Do not let go until you hear a clear, audible "beep." The filter indicator light will instantly turn off, and the internal clock will reset back to 100% life.
