Sterra Nova — Red Light Blinking in EyeballUpdated 6 hours ago
If the indicator light inside the "eyeball" panel of your Sterra Nova (Version 1) is blinking red, please don't worry, your machine is not broken! This is the automatic Filter Replacement Alert.
This light is programmed to flash exactly every 3,600 hours of use to remind you that the True HEPA filter has reached the end of its lifespan and needs to be replaced to maintain clean air.
1. If You Need to Replace the Filter
If your filter has been inside the machine for 6 to 12 months and is gray or dusty, it is time for a fresh one.
Turn off and unplug the unit.
Replace the old filter with a genuine Sterra Nova replacement filter.
Once the new filter is securely locked inside, follow the reset steps below.
2. How to Reset the Blinking Red Light
The Sterra Nova cannot automatically detect when a new filter is inserted. You must manually clear its memory timer. Turning the machine off and on will not stop the flashing.
Please follow these exact steps while the machine is powered on:
Locate the Timer Button on the control panel.
Press and hold down the Timer Button for 3 to 5 seconds.
You will hear a confirmation beep, and the red flashing light will instantly turn off or return to its normal color. The 3,600-hour internal clock is now reset to zero!
