Sterra Nova — Not WorkingUpdated an hour ago

If your Sterra Nova Air Purifier completely refuses to power on, shows no display lights, or has stopped working, please don't worry. This is usually caused by a loose connection or a safety feature engaging. Follow these steps to get it running again:

1. The Electrical Checklist

  • Check the Wall Socket: Ensure the power cord is pushed firmly into the wall outlet and the switch is turned on.

  • Test the Outlet: Unplug the Sterra Nova and plug a working alternative device (like a phone charger or lamp) into that exact same outlet. If the test device doesn't work, your home's circuit breaker or fuse may have tripped.

  • Avoid Extension Cords: Plug the unit directly into a wall outlet. Extension strips can sometimes fail to deliver the stable voltage the purifier needs to initialize.

2. Check for Overheating (24/7 Use)

  • If your Sterra Nova has been running continuously for several days, the motor's safety thermal cutoff may have triggered.

  • The Fix: Touch the body of the machine. If it feels warm, unplug it completely and let it rest and cool down for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again.

3. Verify the Filter & Base Cover Connection

  • The Sterra Nova features an integrated safety switch that prevents the unit from turning on if the base cover is loose.

  • The Fix: Turn the unit upside down and ensure the bottom filter cover is twisted completely into the "CLOSE" locked position. If it is misaligned or loose, the unit will remain completely dark.

  • Clean the Sensor: While checking the filter, ensure heavy dust buildup isn't blocking the sensor panel, as extreme dust blockages can cause system errors.

Still Not Turning On?

If you've verified the outlet works, the machine is cool, and the filter cover is locked tight, but it still won't turn on via the physical button or the mobile app, please record a quick 60-second video of the issue and contact our Support Team for a replacement evaluation.

  1. Log in to our Customer Support Portal.

  2. Submit a support ticket describing the issue.

  3. Attach a short video (at least 1 minute long) showing the error happening. This will help our technical team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster for you.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to getting this sorted out!
