Sterra Mars — Cannot Turn On or Off Must Unplug to Turn OffUpdated 17 hours ago
If you press the power button on your Sterra Mars and the device completely ignores your touch—or if it stays running and you must physically unplug the power cord from the wall to turn it off—please be completely reassured. This does not mean your home electrical system is unsafe or that you have broken the device!
This symptom is caused by an isolated Control Panel Interface Freeze. Your Sterra Mars relies on a central Printed Circuit Board (PCB) to translate touch inputs from the glass control panel into operational commands. If a minor power surge occurs, or if static electricity disrupts the touch-capacitive sensors, the interface can lock up. When this happens, the machine becomes unresponsive to button presses, causing it to freeze in its current power state even though the internal fan motor is functioning.
Because the touch panel interface and the primary PCB are permanently sealed within the main chassis at the factory to shield them from dust, they cannot be opened, reset, or rewired through home troubleshooting steps.

1.Record a Continuous 1-Minute Verification Video
Plug your Sterra Mars into a working wall outlet. Record a continuous video of at least 1 minute capturing your interaction with the unit.
Start the video by firmly pressing the power button and other control keys several times to show that the touch panel is completely unresponsive. If the machine is stuck "ON", show yourself physically unplugging the cord from the wall to force it off. Let the camera run continuously for a full minute to capture the freeze.
