Sterra Flow — Weak Suction ForceUpdated 21 hours ago
If your Sterra Flow suddenly feels less powerful, or if it is leaving behind small crumbs and debris that it used to lift effortlessly, please be completely reassured. This does not mean your digital motor is wearing out or losing its structural strength!
This symptom is almost always caused by a Static Airflow Restriction. The Sterra Flow utilizes an incredibly powerful, high-velocity digital engine that depends entirely on a completely open, high-speed stream of moving air to pull dirt off your floors. If the dust canister becomes overly packed, or if microscopic dust particles completely coat the layers of the fine-mesh HEPA filter, the air path is blocked. The motor is forced to pull against a physical wall of dust, which severely reduces the vacuum's external suction force.
You can instantly restore your vacuum's peak, deep-cleaning suction power by completing this simple 5-minute airflow refresh sequence:
The Airflow Refresh & Filter Sequence
Please turn off your vacuum and detach any long extension rods before completing these maintenance steps:
1.Empty and Clean the Main Dust Canister.
Allowing a dust cup to fill past the "Max" line physically blocks the cyclonic cone from separating dirt from the air.
Press the quick-release latch on the bottom of the canister to drop the trapdoor and empty all trapped dirt, hair, and dust clumps into the trash. For a thorough clean, use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe down the internal metal cyclone mesh shroud to clear away any caked-on lint layers.
2.Replace or Deep-Clean the HEPA Filter
Even if a HEPA filter looks clean on the outside, its dense fabric fibers can become completely saturated with invisible micro-dust, pollen, and fine dander over time, creating an airtight barrier.
Twist off the HEPA filter cap located at the top of the main handle unit. To instantly restore 100% factory suction power, replace the old filter with a brand-new, clean Sterra Flow HEPA filter.
Pro Tip: If you do not have a spare filter on hand, tap the old filter firmly against the inside of a trash bin to release loose dust layers. If you wash it with cool water, you must let it air-dry completely for a full 24 hours before reinstalling, as a damp filter will completely choke the motor.
3.Verify the Airflow Intake is Clear
Before snapping the canister closed, look directly into the entry neck where the extension rod connects to ensure no stubborn debris or paper clips are wedged sideways in the intake throat.
Turn the vacuum on. With a clear canister and a fresh HEPA filter, your Sterra Flow will instantly regain its pristine, high-velocity suction pull!
When to Replace Your HEPA Filter
To keep your cordless vacuum operating at peak efficiency, we highly recommend emptying the dust cup after every single cleaning session and replacing your HEPA filter with a fresh module every 3 to 6 months (depending on how frequently you clean and whether you have furry pets at home!).
However, if you have completely emptied the dust canister, installed a brand-new factory HEPA filter, and checked the intake mouth, but the suction stubbornly remains incredibly weak or faint, a hidden clog may be wedged deep inside the floor brush head nozzle or down the center of the aluminum extension rod.
