Sterra Flow — Loose Extension RodUpdated a day ago
Fix: Loose or Wobbly Extension Rod (Sterra Flow)
If you notice that your Sterra Flow extension rod feels wobbly, loose, or shakes slightly where it connects to the main handle or the floor brush head, please be completely reassured. This does not mean the locking tabs are broken or that the connection joints are wearing down!
This is a very common structural characteristic that can be resolved with simple Structural Maintenance Alignment. Because cordless vacuums experience constant pushing, pulling, and twisting leverage during deep cleaning sessions, the tiny internal anchoring screws tucked inside the connecting sleeves can naturally back out a fraction of a millimeter over time due to vibration. When these screws loosen slightly, the rigid connection cuff loses its tight grip, resulting in a wobbly feel.
You can easily restore a rock-solid, seamless connection in less than a minute by completing this simple tightening step:
The 1-Minute Connection Tightening Guide
Please grab a standard small Phillips-head (cross-tip) screwdriver and complete this quick structural adjustment:
1.Disconnect the Rod and Inspect the Connection Cuff
Press the quick-release buttons to detach the extension rod from both the main vacuum handle and the lower floor brush head.
Examine the plastic and aluminum connection cuffs at both ends of the rod. Inside or around the collar of the sleeve, you will locate the small, recessed silver alignment screws.
2.Firmly Tighten the Anchoring Screws
Insert your Phillips screwdriver straight into the head of the screws. Turn the screwdriver clockwise to firmly tighten them down until they sit completely flush and snug against the sleeve.
Note: Turn the screws until you feel firm resistance, but avoid over-tightening with excessive force to keep the plastic housing perfectly intact.
3.Snap the Vacuum Back Together
Align the extension rod straight with the vacuum handle and push them together until you hear a sharp "click". Repeat the process for the lower brush head.
With the anchoring screws properly snugged, all structural play and wobbling will vanish, leaving your Sterra Flow feeling incredibly rigid and sturdy.
What to Do If the Rod Remains Loose
For 99% of users, simply tightening the structural anchoring screws instantly locks the extension sleeve back into perfect, rigid alignment.
However, if you have tightened the screws fully but the rod stubbornly continues to wobble, or if you notice a visible crack in the plastic locking tab or cuff housing that prevents the screws from gripping, the extension rod assembly may have sustained structural wear.
