Sterra Flow — E3 Low Output Current Protection — LED Flashes Red and GreenUpdated a day ago

If your Sterra Flow screen is flashing the E3 error code while the indicator lights flash an alternating Red and Green, please be completely reassured. This sequence does not mean your motor has shorted out or failed.

An E3 code indicates that the vacuum's internal sensors have triggered the Current Delivery Interruption Switch. For your vacuum to reach its ultra-high-velocity suction speeds, electricity must flow across a perfectly stable, uninterrupted loop from the battery pack straight to the digital motor. If the battery is slightly loose, or if a connection pin inside the attachment joints isn't making 100% flush contact, the voltage drops. The vacuum instantly detects this weak current and pauses operation as a safety guard to protect the electronic control boards.

You can easily re-establish a solid, full-strength power current by walking through these three quick adjustments:

The Power Connection Restoration Protocol

Please turn off the vacuum, disconnect it from the charger, and complete these three connection checks:

1.Completely Remove and Deeply Re-seat the Battery Pack

If the vacuum was bumped during storage or a heavy cleaning session, the tracking rail holding the battery might have shifted by just a fraction of a millimeter.

Press the battery release latch, slide the entire battery pack completely out of its housing slot, and inspect the cavity for any trapped dust or lint. Then, slide the battery back into the guide rails with firm pressure until you hear a sharp, metallic "click" sound to ensure it is locked deep into its power base.

2.Check and Snap All Modular Attachment Sockets

The electrical current travels down through hidden internal wiring lines inside the extension tubes. A loose fit at any junction will break the circuit and trigger the E3 loop.

Disconnect the main handle from the extension rod, and the rod from the floor brush head. Wipe the small gold-plated connection pins with a dry cloth. Push the parts back together firmly and straight until every single joint locks together with an audibly secure click.

3.Verify the Handle Power Socket Connection

If you are using the vacuum in handheld mode or charging it directly, check the main electrical input socket on the handle assembly. Ensure there is no pocket lint or debris trapped inside the socket port that could be pushing the charger pin out of alignment.

What to Do If the E3 Error Persists

For nearly all users, firmly clicking the battery module back into its true home slot and locking the rod joints flush will instantly close the circuit loop, clear the flashing red and green lights, and restore full suction power.

However, if you have meticulously re-seated the battery, confirmed all attachment pins are snapped completely tight, and the screen stubbornly continues to display E3, an internal power cable termination inside the main motor core or an active battery cell may have experienced hardware damage.

  1. Log in to our Customer Support Portal.

  2. Submit a support ticket describing the issue.

  3. Attach a short video (at least 1 minute long) showing the error happening. This will help our technical team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster for you.

📌 What to put in your support message: Let our team know: "My Sterra Flow is displaying an E3 error code with alternating red and green flashing lights. I have already followed the Help Center guide to remove and securely lock the battery pack, and verified all attachment rod sockets are clicked firmly flush, but the low output current error will not clear."
