Sterra Flow — E1 Charger Overvoltage — All LEDs Flash RedUpdated a day ago

If your Sterra Flow digital display screen is flashing the E1 error code and all the battery LED lights are flashing Red, please be completely reassured. This is a sign that your vacuum's proactive safety protocols are working exactly as they were engineered to do!

An E1 code indicates that the vacuum's Overvoltage Circuit Block has been triggered. To protect its premium lithium-ion cells from overheating or degrading, the Sterra Flow constantly measures the incoming electrical current the millisecond a charging cable is plugged in. If the vacuum detects that the power supply is pushing a higher voltage than the battery is designed to handle, it instantly blocks the electrical intake and flashes the red LEDs to warn you.

This is almost always a simple case of a mixed-up household cable, and it can usually be resolved right away in two quick steps:

The Power Adapter Verification Check

Please unplug the vacuum immediately and complete these two quick troubleshooting checks:

1.Verify the Original Sterra Flow Charging Adapter:1 Minute.

Because many household electronics use similar-looking pin adapters, it is incredibly easy to accidentally plug in a cord meant for a different appliance (like a laptop, monitor, or speaker) that outputs a dangerously high voltage.

Locate the charging brick that is plugged into your wall socket. Check the plastic casing to ensure it features the official Sterra branding or matches the specific power output listed in your user manual.

2.Perform a Safe Power Reset:1 Minute.

If you found the original Sterra Flow charger, leave the vacuum completely unplugged for about 60 seconds to allow the internal E1 safety memory loop to clear.

Once cleared, plug the original Sterra Flow charger directly into a standard wall outlet and connect it to your vacuum. The E1 code should vanish, and the lights should return to their normal charging sequence.

What to Do If the E1 Error Persists

For nearly all users, switching back to the official Sterra Flow power adapter immediately unlocks the safety block and restores standard charging.

However, if you have verified that you are using the correct, original Sterra Flow adapter, but the screen stubbornly continues to flash E1 and bleed red light, the internal smart voltage regulator or the battery pack itself has experienced an electrical hardware fault.

Please log into our Customer Support portal to send a direct assistance message to our technical team.

  1. Log in to our Customer Support Portal.

  2. Submit a support ticket describing the issue.

  3. Attach a short video (at least 1 minute long) showing the error happening. This will help our technical team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster for you.

📌 What to put in your support message: Let our team know: "My Sterra Flow is showing an E1 code with all LEDs flashing red. I have already verified that I am using the official, original Sterra Flow adapter and attempted a power reset, but the overvoltage block will not clear."
