Sterra Flow — Dust Leaks from Dust CupUpdated a day ago

Here is the improved version formatted specifically as an organized, easy-to-follow, and reassuring Help Center article for your customers.

What was changed & why:

Seeing fine dust leak or puff out of a vacuum can be incredibly frustrating and alarming for a customer, especially if they suffer from allergies. This rewrite lowers their anxiety by framing the issue as a simple Seal Alignment Offset rather than a cracked or broken machine. It explains the physics of vacuum pressure simply—if the airtight seals aren't perfectly aligned, microscopic dust takes the path of least resistance. By grouping the fixes into a logical, step-by-step assembly sequence (Filter $\rightarrow$ Canister $\rightarrow$ Lid), the customer can instantly restore their vacuum's airtight suction seal at home.

Fix: Dust Leaking from the Dust Cup (Sterra Flow)

If you notice a faint puff of dust or fine debris escaping around the edges of your Sterra Flow dust cup during use, please be completely reassured. This does not mean your casing is cracked, defective, or broken!

Because the Sterra Flow utilizes a high-velocity cyclonic suction system, it generates an immense amount of internal air pressure to separate heavy dirt from microscopic dust. If the inner layers are even slightly skewed, the vacuum loses its airtight environment, allowing tiny particles to find the path of least resistance. This is almost always caused by a simple Seal Alignment Offset within the filtration column.

You can easily restore an airtight, 100% leak-proof seal in just a few moments by walking through these three quick adjustments:

The Airtight Seal Reassembly Protocol

Please turn off your vacuum, detach it from any extension rods, and verify these three alignment points from the inside out:

1.Align and Lock the HEPA Filter Core:1 Minute.

Open the dust cup assembly and inspect the high-efficiency HEPA filter. If the rubberized gasket around the rim of the filter is twisted, bent, or sitting at an angle, microscopic dust will bypass it.

Remove the filter, clear any loose debris from the seating rim, and push it firmly down into its designated alignment slot. Give it a slight twist to ensure it is locked flat, flush, and completely parallel with the internal housing.

2.Re-seat the Dust Cup Canister Onto the Main Motor Base:1 Minute.

If the main clear plastic dust cup is slightly misaligned with the vacuum's motor housing, the structural tracking pins cannot create a perfect vacuum seal.

Completely detach the dust cup from the vacuum body. Check that the tracking grooves are clear of packed lint, then realign the cup and slide it firmly back onto the main body until you hear a sharp, clean, mechanical "click" sound.

3.Secure and Level the Dust Cup Release Lid:1 Minute.

The bottom trapdoor lid of the dust cup must be completely level to seal properly. If hair or a small piece of debris is trapped in the latch mechanism, it will prevent the rubber gasket from sealing fully.

Open the bottom lid completely and wipe down the circular rubber sealing ring with a dry cloth. Close the lid by pressing it perfectly level and straight against the cup rim. Apply firm pressure until the quick-release latch snaps shut with a distinct, audibly secure lock.

Still Noticing a Dust Leak?

For 99% of users, simply pulling the internal HEPA filter out and reseating it perfectly flush instantly cures any dust leaks, locking 100% of fine particles inside the advanced filtration chamber.

However, if you have carefully reassembled the filter core, clicked the canister into place, and ensured the lid latch is firmly locked, but dust stubbornly continues to escape, the internal silicone gasket may have a microscopic tear or compression warp.

📌 What to tell us: Let our agent know: "Dust is leaking from the dust cup of my Sterra Flow. I have already followed the Help Center guide to clean, realign, and securely lock the HEPA filter, the canister body, and the bottom lid latch, but it isn't holding an airtight seal."
