Green Light: This is perfectly NORMAL behavior
Your Sterra Breeze Pro is working exactly as designed if the sound fits this description:
The hissing or buzzing is very soft and can typically only be heard in a perfectly quiet room or if you place your ear close to the top grill.
The sound remains at a steady volume and does not get louder over time.
There are absolutely no sparks, flashes of light, or unusual smells coming from the device.
✅ What to do: You do not need to take any action! Your air purifier is operating flawlessly, and you can leave the ION feature running with total peace of mind.
Red Light: This is NOT normal behavior
You should turn off the ION feature and seek support if you notice any of these warning signs:
The buzzing is clearly loud, harsh, or can easily be heard from across the room over common household background noise.
The sound appeared suddenly out of nowhere or is steadily getting louder and more aggressive over time.
The sound is accompanied by an unusual odor, an automated ozone smell, a harsh burning scent, or intermittent fan operation.
