If your Sterra Air Purifier’s filter indicator light remains turned on or the machine stays stuck on a long loading screen, it typically indicates that the internal filter sensor is not fully engaged.

Follow the step-by-step troubleshooting guide below to quickly resolve the issue.

Root Causes

• Filter Alignment: The filter is not fully seated or inserted correctly into its compartment.

• Sensor Engagement: Minor height variations in the filter prevent the internal filter sensor clip from being completely pressed down.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Steps

1. Re-insert the Filter & Check the Sensor:

   • Power off and unplug the unit.

   • Open the filter compartment, remove the filter, and re-insert it firmly.

   • Ensure the filter sensor button/clip inside the compartment is completely engaged and pressed down.

2. Adjust Filter Height (If Needed):

   • If the filter sensor clip is still not fully pressed in, place a small piece of folded cardboard between the top edge of the filter and the filter cover.

   • This adds slight height pressure to ensure the cover pushes the filter securely against the sensor clip when closed.

3. Power On the Unit:

   • Plug the unit back in.

   • Give the Power button a single, quick tap to turn the machine on (do not hold the button down).

4. Reset the Filter Indicator:

   • Once the unit boots up completely, press and hold the Timer button for 7 seconds.

   • You will hear a beep, confirming that the filter indicator has been successfully reset.
