Sterra Breeze — Smoke Coming Out or Burning SmellUpdated 11 hours ago
If you detect a faint or strong burning odor, see wisps of smoke emerging from the top outlet grills, or notice the plastic casing feeling excessively hot to the touch, please prioritize your immediate safety.
While this is an exceptionally rare occurrence, a burning scent or smoke indicates a critical Internal Component Short Circuit, typically located on the Power Control Board (PCB) or within the primary power transformer lines. When an electrical component experiences a critical failure, its protective resin coating or insulating plastic sleeves can overheat and scorch.
🛑 REQUIRED IMMEDIATE SAFETY STEPS
Please follow these emergency instructions immediately to completely isolate the device and eliminate any household electrical hazards:
Cut Power and Unplug From the Wall
Without touching any other part of the air purifier, immediately reach for the main wall outlet switch and flip it OFF. Carefully grip the solid plastic casing of the 3-pin adapter head and pull the plug completely out of the wall socket.
Isolate the Air Purifier.
Carefully move the unplugged Sterra Breeze to a safe, well-ventilated area away from any flammable materials, carpets, upholstered furniture, or curtains (such as a tiled kitchen floor, an outdoor balcony, or a concrete entryway) until the machine cools down completely.
❌ CRITICAL CRITICAL WARNING: Do not under any circumstances plug the Sterra Breeze back in or attempt to turn it on to check if it is still smoking. Even if the smoke stops or the smell fades, the underlying short circuit remains active. Reintroducing electrical current to a compromised board can cause immediate sparks or severe hardware destruction.
