Sterra 8 - H7 (System Automatic Hot Water Check)Updated 8 hours ago

If your Sterra 8 water purifier is displaying the H7 code, please don't worry! H7 is not an error code. The H7 code indicates that an automatic hot water check is currently in progress. Your machine is working exactly as it should.

After the unit finishes its initial internal flushing cycle, it automatically kicks off an safety check called the Hot Water Verification Process. The H7 display is simply the visual indicator letting you know this automatic check is running.

Step-by-Step Resolution Setup

If your machine is currently showing H7 or you need to restart the initialization setup, please follow these steps carefully:

Step 1: Power Cycle the Unit

  • Turn off the main power switch or unplug the machine from the wall outlet.

  • Wait 10 seconds, then turn the power back on.

  • The display screen will automatically change to read "FLUS" (Flush).

Step 2: Initiate Flush Verification

  • Press and hold the Water Dispense button for 5 seconds to start the water flow.

  • ⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY GUARDRAIL: DO NOT press or hold the Ambient button. Activating the Ambient setting before water completely fills the internal tank will cause dry heating and permanently burn out the hot water heater.

Step 3: Monitor the H7 Verification Process

  • Once the flush countdown ends, the screen will naturally switch back to displaying H7.

  • Action Required: Leave the unit completely plugged in and untouched. Allow the system to complete this automated check uninterrupted.

  • Outcome: Once finalized, the display will return to the standard standby screen, and the unit is ready for daily use.
