Sterra 8 — E10 Communication ErrorUpdated 30 minutes ago

If your Sterra 8 screen is displaying a communication error or indicating that a system scan is in progress, please be reassured that your machine is simply performing a routine automated health check.

Just like a smartphone or a computer, the Sterra 8 occasionally runs internal electronic diagnostics to ensure all temperature sensors, smart valves, and filtration chips are talking to the main control board perfectly.

Step 1: Let the Automated Scan Finish

In most scenarios, no physical intervention is required from you at all.

  1. Leave the Machine Alone: Do not touch the panel buttons or attempt to unplug the unit while the diagnostic scan is actively running.

  2. Watch for the Auto-Clear: Let the system complete its internal check. The error message will automatically clear itself off the screen the exact moment the scan finishes, and your machine will immediately return to its normal standby screen.

Step 2: Perform a Manual System Reset

If the communication error message appears frozen on your screen and fails to clear automatically after a few minutes, the internal display panel simply needs a quick manual refresh to restore its connection.


Turn Off the Power Switch:.

Locate the main power toggle switch, which is situated on the side or back of your Sterra 8 machine body. Flip the switch to the OFF position.

Wait Exactly 10 Seconds:

Leave the machine completely turned off for a full 10 seconds. This brief pause allows the internal computer boards to fully power down and clear out any temporary electronic memory glitches.

Flip the Power Back On:.

Flip the main power toggle switch back to the ON position. Watch the display screen as the system boots back up. The communication error should now be entirely resolved, and your touch panel will light up for normal use.


What to Do If the Error Persists

If you have completed the manual power reset, but your Sterra 8 boots right back up into a permanent communication error screen, the internal wiring harness or main electronic board requires a professional look.
