Sterra 8 — E04 Cooling Function ErrorUpdated 20 days ago

Is your Sterra 8 water purifier flashing the E04 error code? Don't worry—this is often a routine part of the system's self-check process rather than a permanent malfunction. Follow this quick guide to understand and resolve the issue.

🔍 What Does This Error Mean?

The E04 error indicates a Cooling Function Error. This code is automatically triggered if the machine's internal cooling plate has not dipped below 2°C within a continuous 72-hour period.

💡 Important Note: If your dispensed water is still cold, your purifier is working perfectly. The error code is likely just a minor system glitch and there is no cause for concern.

📋 Symptoms to Look For

  • The display panel is flashing E04.

  • There is no accompanying error sound or beeping.

  • The error clears temporarily after a power cycle, or after toggling the cold water function off and back on.

🛠️ Quick Troubleshooting Steps

Please perform the following steps to reset the system:

  1. Power Cycle the Unit: Unplug your Sterra 8 from the power outlet, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.

  2. Reset the Cooling Function: Alternatively, turn off the cold water function via the display panel, wait a moment, and turn it back on.

  3. Wait and Test: Allow the machine to rest for 2 hours, then try dispensing cold water.

If the water is cold and the flashing stops, your machine is ready for normal use! If the E04 error persists after trying these steps, please reach out to our Customer Support team to schedule a technician visit.
