Sterra 8 — E03 High-Temperature Heating ErrorUpdated 42 minutes ago

If your Sterra 8 displays a heating error light, flashes an alert, or pauses hot water dispensing, please be reassured that your machine is operating exactly as designed.

To protect the internal components and ensure your safety, the Sterra 8 features an automated thermal cutoff. If you have recently drawn a large volume of hot water consecutively, or if the internal heating elements reach a specific peak threshold, the machine will temporarily pause the heater as a built-in protective shield.

Resolving this alert and resuming your normal water flow takes just a single step.

How to Reset the Heating System

Once the internal safety sensors confirm that the temperature has stabilized back down into a perfectly safe zone, you can instantly clear the error and unlock the heater:

  1. Look at the main touch control panel on your Sterra 8.

  2. Tap the Dispense button firmly once.

  3. What to look for: Tapping the button signals to the internal computer that you are aware of the reset. The heating error light will instantly turn off, and your machine will immediately resume normal operation.

When to Call Support

In 95% of cases, pressing the dispense button clears the safety pause immediately. However, if you clear the error and it repeatedly triggers every time you try to heat water, the machine may be experiencing a blocked internal water flow line or a faulty temperature sensor.

If the error persists, please do not attempt to open or fix the heating tank yourself. Reach out to our Customer Support Team right away.

  1. Log in to our Customer Support Portal.

  2. Submit a support ticket describing the issue.

  3. Attach a short video (at least 1 minute long) showing the error happening. This will help our technical team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster for you.

📌 What to tell us: Let our agent know: "My Sterra 8 is repeatedly triggering the High-Temperature Heating Error, and pressing the dispense button only clears it temporarily." We will skip basic troubleshooting and fast-track an on-site technician visit to inspect your heating sensors and ensure your unit is running perfectly!
