Sterra 7 - Filter Replacement GuideUpdated 10 hours ago
Follow these steps carefully to replace your filters and properly reset your machine.
Part 1: Replacing the Filter
Open the Cover: Open the filter cover on the unit.
Close the Valve: Turn the inlet valve on the side of the machine to the 12 o'clock position to shut off the water flow.
Remove the Old Filter: Lift the existing filter slightly upward, then pull it downward to remove it. (Note: A small amount of water may drip during this step—this is normal).
Insert the New Filter: Take the new filter (ensure the label matches the old one), insert it securely into the fitting, and push down firmly.
Reopen the Valve [CRITICAL]: Turn the inlet valve on the side back to the 3 o'clock position to reopen the water line.
Close the Cover: Securely close the filter cover.
Part 2: Flushing & Resetting the System
After installing the new filter, you must flush the system and reset the filter life timer:
Activate Flushing: Press and hold the Self Care + Ambient buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
Flushing Process: Flushing will begin automatically, and the Dispense button will start blinking.
Wait 15 Minutes: Allow the machine to flush for approximately 15 minutes. Once all the lights on the machine turn off, the flushing process is complete.
Reset the Filter Timer: Press and hold the Dispense + Ambient buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to reset the filter light indicators.
Your machine is now ready for normal use!
