Sterra 7 — Water Leakage from Inlet or Outlet Hose ConnectionsUpdated 2 hours ago
If you notice water dripping or pooling directly behind your Sterra 7, it is usually caused by a loose connection where the water lines plug into the back of the machine. If the unit is accidentally moved during cleaning or bumped against the wall, these quick-connect tubes can shift slightly out of alignment.
Follow this quick guide to safely isolate the water line and lock your hoses firmly back into place.
Step 1: Secure the Water Line & Reseat the Tubes
Before adjusting any plumbing parts, you must shut off the water flow to prevent sudden pressure sprays or water messes on your countertop.
Shut Off the Water Valve:
Trace the thin water line from the back of your machine down toward your sink. Locate the small blue plastic inline valve and flip the handle to a 90-degree angle (perpendicular to the tube) to shut the water off completely.
Locate Your Water Hoses:.
Look at the lower back panel of your Sterra 7. You will see two tubes plugged directly into the machine:
The Intake Hose (Red Port): Feeds tap water into your purifier.
The Waste Hose (Blue Port): Carries away flush water to your drain.
Firmly Push and Lock the Tubes:.
Grasp the Intake tube (Red) firmly near its base and push it directly straight into the machine's port. You should feel it slide in slightly deeper and "lock" into place. Repeat this exact process for the Waste tube (Blue).
Reopen the Valve & Inspect:.
Slowly flip the small blue plastic inline valve back so that it is parallel to the tubing (fully open). Leave it open for a few minutes and watch the back of the machine closely. If the area stays bone dry, your hoses are perfectly sealed!
What to Do If the Leak Continues
If you have firmly pushed both tubes into their respective ports but water continues to bead up or spray from the connections, the internal O-ring seal inside the machine's quick-connect port may be damaged, or the tip of the plastic tubing may be worn down.
Please turn the blue water valve back to the OFF position to protect your kitchen counters, and reach out to our Customer Support Team right away.
