Sterra 7 — Slow Water FlowUpdated 2 hours ago
If your Sterra 7 is dispensing water very slowly or has stopped dispensing completely, the water supply line entering the machine is being restricted. This is usually caused by a partially closed plumbing valve (the T-valve under your sink) or an internal filter that is completely full.
Follow these two quick checks to clear the blockage and restore your water pressure.
Step 1: Check the Under-Sink T-Valve & Blue Supply Valve
Your dispenser gets its water via a plumbing splitter called a T-valve, which is installed directly onto your home's cold water pipe underneath your kitchen sink. If this valve gets bumped or choked with pipe sediment, water cannot reach your machine.
Please check both of the following connections:
The Metal T-Valve (Under Sink): Locate the main metal valve feeding water into the thin tube. Ensure the lever or knob is turned completely to the OPEN position.
The Blue Inline Valve: Trace the thin water tube up toward the machine. You will see a small blue plastic valve. Ensure this lever is completely parallel to the water tube (fully open). If it is sitting at a right angle (90 degrees), the water is turned off.
Quick Tip: While looking under the sink, ensure the thin water line isn't pinched, kinked, or trapped beneath heavy household items.
Step 2: Check Your Filter Lifespan
If both your T-valve and your blue inline valve are wide open, but the water flow is still restricted, your internal filters are likely choked with sediment and overdue for a change.
Has it been more than 6 months since your last filter change? Over time, the filters do their job by trapping micro-particles from your tap water. After 6 months of heavy use, they can become completely saturated, blocking water from passing through efficiently.
🎁 Our Support Promise: If your filters are older than 6 months and you suspect they are blocking the water, please head to our store and order a replacement pack. If our support team later determines that a mechanical part was the actual cause of your low flow, any filters used during this troubleshooting process will be replaced completely free of charge.
Still Have No Water Flow?
If you have verified that all valves are fully open, the tubes are straight, and your filters are fresh, but the machine still won't dispense, there may be a debris blockage inside the T-valve threading itself.
Please reach out to our Customer Support Team. Let us know that you have already verified the under-sink T-valve, the blue valve, and your filter age, and we will quickly arrange an on-site technician visit.
