Sterra 7 — Machine Does Not Turn OnUpdated 24 minutes ago
If your Sterra 7 completely loses power—meaning the touch panel is entirely dark and the machine isn't making any sound—the issue is usually related to the power source, a loose connection, or a tripped home circuit breaker.
Before booking a repair, follow this quick process of elimination to figure out exactly where the power flow is breaking down.
Step 1: Check the Power Cable Connections
Sometimes the power cord can look plugged in when it is actually slightly loose, cutting off the electrical current.
Check the wall plug: Ensure the power plug is pushed firmly and completely into your wall socket.
Check the back of the machine: Trace the power cord to where it connects directly into the back of your Sterra 7. Give it a firm push to ensure the cable hasn't vibrated loose over time.
Toggle the power switch: Double-check that the main power switch located on the back or side of the unit is toggled to the ON position.
Step 2: The "Socket Test" (Checking Your Wall Outlet)
If the connections are tight but the machine is still lifeless, we need to test if the wall socket itself is actually delivering electricity.
Unplug your Sterra 7 from the wall socket.
Grab a small household item that you know works—like a phone charger, a small lamp, or a hairdryer—and plug it directly into that same wall socket.
See if it turns on:
If the test device DOES NOT turn on: Your wall socket is faulty, or your home's main circuit breaker has tripped. Try resetting your main breaker fuse box or plugging your Sterra 7 into an entirely different wall outlet in another room.
If the test device DOES turn on perfectly: Your wall socket is working fine, which means the issue lies within the Sterra 7 unit or its power adapter cord. Proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Next Steps
If you proved that your wall socket works perfectly, but your Sterra 7 remains completely unresponsive when plugged directly into it, your machine's internal fuse or power supply requires a professional look.
