Sterra 7 — Machine Automatically Stops When Dispensing Hot WaterUpdated 2 hours ago

If your Sterra 7 has stopped dispensing correctly, or if the system seems frozen, it is usually caused by a sudden drop in water pressure or a temporary glitch in the main Power PCB (the machine's internal electronic control board).

Follow these steps to safely reset the electronic system and ensure your machine is getting a steady supply of water.

Step 1: Perform an Electronic System Reset (20 Minutes)

If the internal control board experiences an electrical hitch or detects low water flow, it triggers a safety lockout. A clean power cycle will clear the error memory.

  1. Power Off: Switch off the main power button located on the back or side of your Sterra 7.

  2. Unplug: Completely disconnect the power cord from your wall outlet.

  3. Wait 5 Minutes: Leave the machine entirely unplugged for 5 full minutes to allow the internal electronic capacitors to fully discharge and reset.

  4. Power Back On: Plug the cord directly back into the wall outlet and turn the main switch ON.

  5. Let the Auto-Flush Complete: The Sterra 7 will automatically enter an internal cleaning and calibration phase. The main dispense button will pulse slowly in a "breathing" light pattern.

⏱️ Important: Do not touch any buttons or attempt to dispense water. Wait approximately 15 minutes until all the panel lights turn completely off, signaling that the system reset is successful.

Step 2: Check for "Water Sharing" Conflicts

If the machine resets successfully but the issue happens again later, the culprit is often a sudden drop in your home's water pressure.

  • Are you using a nearby tap at the same time? If your Sterra 7 shares a water line with your kitchen sink faucet, a washing machine, or a dishwasher, using those appliances while trying to dispense water can choke the water flow to the Sterra 7.

  • The Fix: Try to avoid running other heavy-flow water taps simultaneously if they are connected to the same under-sink water inlet as your dispenser.

What to Do If the Issue Persists

If your machine fails to complete the 15-minute auto-flush, remains completely unresponsive, or continues to lock down even when no other taps are running, the internal Power PCB (electronic board) may be faulty.

Please reach out to our Customer Support Team right away. Let our agent know that you have already attempted the 5-minute power reset and monitored the 15-minute breathing mode flush. We will fast-track an on-site technician visit to inspect your machine.

  1. Log in to our Customer Support Portal.

  2. Submit a support ticket describing the issue.

  3. Attach a short video (at least 1 minute long) showing the error happening. This will help our technical team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster for you.
