Sterra 7 — E12 Volume Cold and Hot Icons Blinking — Heat Sink OverheatUpdated an hour ago
Your Sterra 7 is equipped with an intelligent safety sensor. If the internal system detects a temperature of 60°C or higher, it will automatically stop functioning to protect its internal components and ensure your home's safety.
If your water functions have suddenly stopped working, follow this simple 3-step guide to clear the error, clean the airflow vents, and reset your machine.
Step 1: Power Down & Let It Cool (2 Hours)
To reset the safety sensor, the machine must be completely powered down to cool the internal tanks.
Unplug the machine: Turn off the main power switch at the back/side of the Sterra 7, then completely unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Clear the surrounding space: Ensure there is at least 15–20 cm of open clearance on all sides of the machine. Make sure no ventilation slots are blocked by walls, curtains, or cabinetry.
Check the location: Verify that your Sterra 7 is not sitting directly next to heat-producing appliances (such as ovens, kettles, microwaves, or refrigerator exhausts).
⏱️ Important: Leave the machine completely unplugged for 2 full hours. The safety sensor will not reset until the internal system has cooled down completely.
Step 2: Clean the Rear Dust Filter
A clogged dust filter is the most common cause of a 60°C safety lockout because it blocks vital airflow. Clean it while you wait for the machine to cool down.
Locate the mesh dust filter at the back of your Sterra 7 and gently slide it out.
Rinse the filter thoroughly under cool, running water to wash away any trapped dust or lint.
Let the filter dry completely before sliding it back into the machine. Never reinstall a wet or damp filter.
Step 3: Restart & Run the Auto-Flush (15 Minutes)
Once the 2 hours are up and your dust filter is clean and dry, you can safely restart your system.
Plug the power cord back into the wall and turn the main power switch ON.
Do not touch any buttons. The Sterra 7 will automatically begin an internal system flush.
The main dispense button will pulse slowly in a "breathing mode" light pattern.
Wait approximately 15 minutes for the cycle to finish. Once all the lights turn completely off, the flush is finished, and your hot and cold water functions will be fully restored.
