Sterra 7 — E11 Hot Cold and Ambient Icons Blinking — Machine OverheatUpdated an hour ago

If your Sterra 7 has suddenly stopped dispensing hot or cold water, it is usually because the system is overheating. This is typically caused by insufficient airflow or a clogged dust filter, triggering a safety feature that temporarily shuts down the heating and cooling elements.

Follow these step-by-step instructions to safely reset your machine and get your water temperature back to normal.

Step 1: Power Down & Check Airflow (2-Hour Cooldown)

To resolve overheating, the internal components need time to cool down completely and reset.

  1. Turn off and unplug: Turn off the main power switch on your Sterra 7 and completely unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

  2. Clear the area: Ensure there is at least 15–20 cm of open space on all sides of the machine. Make sure no ventilation slots are blocked by walls, cabinetry, or other items.

  3. Check the environment: Ensure your Sterra 7 is not placed near heat-producing appliances like ovens, kettles, microwaves, or refrigerator exhausts.

⏱️ Important: Leave the machine completely unplugged for 2 full hours before moving to the next step. This allows the internal tanks and compressor to fully reset.

Step 2: Clean the Dust Filter

While your machine is cooling down, clean the rear dust filter to ensure proper airflow moving forward.

  1. Locate the dust filter mesh at the back of your Sterra 7.

  2. Gently remove the filter and rinse it under cool, running water to remove any dust buildup.

  3. Allow the filter to dry completely before sliding it back into place. Do not reinsert a wet filter.

Step 3: Plug In & Run the Auto-Flush

After 2 hours have passed and your dust filter is clean and dry, you can restart the system.

  1. Plug the Sterra 7 back into the wall and turn the main power switch on.

  2. The machine will automatically begin an internal auto-flush cycle. The dispense button will pulse in a slow "breathing" light pattern.

  3. Do not press any buttons or try to dispense water while the light is breathing.

  4. Wait approximately 15 minutes. Once all the lights turn off entirely, the flushing cycle is complete, and your machine is ready to use.

Step 4: Check Your Filter Life

Sometimes a heavily clogged water filter can restrict water flow, contributing to system strain.

  • Press the 'Tap Self-Care' button on your machine to check your current filter status.

  • If the indicator light is Yellow, Orange, or Red, your filter is due for a change. We highly recommend ordering a replacement filter pack to ensure optimal performance.

Still Not Working?
