Sterra 7 — Dispensed Hot Water is Not HotUpdated 20 minutes ago

If you are having trouble with the hot water function on your Sterra 7, the cause is typically an internal system reset requirement, or in rare cases, a faulty component that requires a technician.

To identify and resolve the issue, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Identify the Issue

Before troubleshooting, take note of exactly what happens when you press the hot water button:

  • Scenario A: Water dispenses normally, but it is at room temperature or cold.

  • Scenario B: No water dispenses at all when you select hot water.

Step 2: Clear the Line (The 110 mL Ambient Flush)

If the machine is dispensing water but it isn't heating up, the system may just need to prime itself.

  1. Select and dispense 110 mL of ambient (room-temperature) water first.

  2. The machine will stop dispensing automatically once it reaches 110 mL.

  3. Immediately after, try dispensing hot water again to check if the heating element has kicked in.

💡 Note on Normal Sounds: It is completely normal to hear a short "chee" or sizzling sound when dispensing hot water. This is simply the sound of the rapid internal heating process working exactly as expected.

Still Not Working? If you have tried the ambient flush and are still completely unable to get hot water, your unit may have an internal leak, a faulty heating module, or a blown fuse plug.
