Sterra 7 — Dispensed Cold Water is Not ColdUpdated 20 minutes ago
Why is My Sterra 7 Water Not Cold Enough?
The Sterra 7 is designed to cool 1 liter of water to 4–10°C approximately every hour. If your household has dispensed more than 1 liter of cold water within the last hour, the system simply needs a little time to catch up and chill the next batch.
If your water is still not cold after letting the machine rest, please follow these quick checks to see if your cooling system is working properly:
Step 1: Check the Ventilation Space
To cool efficiently, your Sterra 7 needs room to breathe. Ensure the unit is placed in a well-ventilated area with at least 10–15 cm of clear space on all sides (back and sides). Blocking the airflow can prevent the water from chilling.
Step 2: Test the Cooling System (The 1-Hour Rest Test)
Do not dispense any cold water from the machine for 1 full hour to allow the tank to completely chill.
After 1 hour, check the water temperature.
At the same time, place your hand near the back or sides of the machine to feel the exhaust air:
If you feel warm air: This is a good sign! It means the internal cooling plate is working actively to draw heat out of your water.
If the air is completely cool or room temperature: The internal cooling plate may not be activating.
Still Not Cooling? If you have allowed the machine to rest for an hour, verified it has proper ventilation clearance, and notice no warm air exhausting from the unit, the cooling component may require replacement.
