Sterra Y — Water Leakage from NozzleUpdated a day ago
A constant drip or leak coming directly from the dispensing nozzle of your Sterra Y means one of the machine's internal water gates (solenoid valves) is not closing completely, allowing water to sneak past the seal.
Follow this quick containment guide to stop the active drip and prepare your machine for a technical repair.
Nozzle Leak Containment & Diagnostic Checklist
1.1. Identify the leaking temperature track: Pins down the broken internal valve.
Before turning off the water supply, place a cup under the nozzle and look at the control panel. Note down exactly when the dripping happens:
Is it dripping only after dispensing Cold water?
Is it dripping only after dispensing Hot water?
Is it dripping constantly from the Ambient / Room Temp line?
Why this matters: Knowing which temperature line is leaking tells our repair team exactly which internal electronic valve seal has slipped or worn down, saving time during your repair.
2.2. Isolate the main water lines: Stops the active drip instantly.
Locate the small blue inlet valve on the water tubing directly behind your Sterra Y. Turn it to the closed position to stop fresh water pressure from entering the system. If your configuration does not have a blue valve on the line, turn off the main metal water valve located beneath your kitchen sink.
3.3. Shut down system power: Cuts power to the internal electronic valves.
Reach behind the machine and flip the master power switch to the OFF ( O ) position, then safely unplug the electrical cord from the wall outlet. This prevents the electronic heating or cooling components from running dry while the water line is shut off.
What is the next step to fix the nozzle?
Because the internal water valves are safely sealed inside the machine's core chassis, fixing a leaky nozzle requires a physical structural component swap that cannot be safely done at home.
