Sterra Y — Machine is Causing a Power TripUpdated a day ago
If plugging in or using your Sterra Y causes your kitchen or home circuit breaker to suddenly trip, please do not turn the machine or the breaker back on.
A power trip usually indicates that the machine's internal electrical safety sensors have detected an anomaly. This most commonly happens if a minor internal leak develops near the heating elements, causing moisture to contact a circuit, or if the high-power heating system overloads a shared wall outlet. To protect your home's electrical grid, the machine must be isolated immediately.
Please follow these mandatory safety steps right now to secure your appliance:
Emergency Electrical Isolation Protocol
1.1. Unplug the machine from the wall plug: Eliminates electrical shock risk.
Walk over to your home's main electrical box and ensure the tripped breaker switch is turned completely OFF for safety. Then, go back to the kitchen and pull the Sterra Y power cord completely out of the wall outlet.
2.2. Turn off the primary water supply: Cuts off potential internal leaks.
Locate the small blue shut-off valve on the water line behind the unit (or the main metal valve under your kitchen sink) and turn it to the closed position. This stops fresh water from flowing into the unit and fueling any hidden internal leaks.
3.3. Leave the machine completely powered down: Critical hazard prevention.
Do not attempt to plug the Sterra Y back in or turn it on to test it. Keep the unit completely disconnected from both electricity and water until a certified repair professional can inspect the internal wiring.
