Sterra Y — Cannot Dispense WaterUpdated a day ago
If your Sterra Y has completely stopped dispensing water across all temperatures, the internal water flow pathway is likely blocked. Over time, microscopic minerals and fine sediment particles naturally build up inside the filter components and connection heads. This is a standard maintenance characteristic of high-efficiency water filtration systems.
Follow this quick checklist to determine if your unit just needs a fresh set of filters or if it requires a technical inspection:
Step 1: Check Your Filter Lifespan
Our high-density filtration layers are designed to completely lock up and block incoming water once they become fully saturated with trapped particles to prevent contaminated water from reaching your cup.
When were your filters last replaced? If your filters have been in use for more than 6 months, they have reached their maximum particle load and are blocking the water flow. Replacing your filters will immediately open up the water lines and restore your dispensing pressure.
If you are overdue for a change, you can order a fresh replacement set and access our step-by-step installation walkthroughs below:

Are your filters less than 6 months old?
If you replaced your filters recently and your Sterra Y still refuses to dispense any water, the blockage is likely deeper inside the physical incoming source T-valve or internal electronic mechanics. Because clearing internal valves requires technical disassembly, please reach out to our Customer Support Team so we can assist you further!
