Sterra X — Water Leakage from NozzleUpdated 2 days ago

If your Sterra X nozzle continuously drips or trickles water into the drip tray when the machine is idle, the internal electronic valve that controls water flow has likely become stuck open. This usually happens if a tiny particle of mineral sediment gets caught inside the valve seal, preventing it from shutting completely.

Because resolving an internal valve issue requires opening the machine's sealed casing, there are no home repair steps for this issue. However, you can stop the active dripping right away by following these quick steps:

Step 1: Shut Off the Incoming Water Pressure

Isolating the water supply will stop the active dripping and prevent your drip tray from overflowing:

  1. Look at the plastic water tube connected to the back or underside of your Sterra X.

  2. Locate the small blue shut-off valve along the tubing line.

  3. Turn the blue lever completely perpendicular (at a 90-degree angle) to the tube to close it. This removes the incoming water pressure, which will instantly stop the nozzle from dripping.

Step 2: Connect with Customer Support

  1. Log in to our Customer Support Portal.

  2. Submit a support ticket describing the issue.

  3. Attach a short video (at least 1 minute long) showing the error happening. This will help our technical team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster for you.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to getting this sorted out!
