Sterra X — Machine is Causing a Power TripUpdated 2 days ago

If plugging in or turning on your Sterra X instantly trips your home's main circuit breaker or electricity safety switch, stop using the appliance immediately.

A tripped breaker means the machine has experienced a critical internal electrical short circuit. On water dispensers, this occurs if the internal hot water tank develops a leak, allowing water to drip directly onto raw electrical wiring or internal heating elements. Do not attempt to flip your home circuit breaker back on or plug the machine into a different wall outlet to test it. Forcing electricity back into a wet circuit can permanently damage your home's electrical grid or create a severe shock hazard.

Please follow these immediate safety steps:

Step 1: Keep the Machine Safely Isolated

  • Leave the Sterra X completely unplugged from the wall socket.

  • Switch off the wall socket switch entirely.

  • Do not attempt to turn the unit back on or drain it yourself until a technician arrives.

Step 2: Connect to a Customer Support Specialist

Because a pressurized water leak onto electrical components cannot be diagnosed or resolved at home, our automated systems are suspended for your safety.

  1. Log in to our Customer Support Portal.

  2. Submit a support ticket describing the issue.

  3. Attach a short video (at least 1 minute long) showing the error happening. This will help our technical team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster for you.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to getting this sorted out!
