Sterra X — Dispensed Water is Splitting or Spray-LikeUpdated 2 days ago

If the water stream from your Sterra X is splitting into multiple paths or spraying outward instead of pouring in a smooth, straight line, the dispenser nozzle tip simply needs a quick cleaning. Over time, natural mineral minerals from your water can form tiny deposits around the edge of the nozzle, disrupting the smooth flow.

Follow these quick steps to clean your nozzle and fix the spray:

The Nozzle Cleansing & Descaling Method

1.1. Turn off the touch panel display: Prevents accidental hot water burns.

Before cleaning, press the lock button or turn the touch panel screen off so you do not accidentally activate a water stream while your hands are near the nozzle.

2.2. Scrub inside the nozzle tip: Clears physical debris.

Take a small, clean brush (such as a soft-bristled toothbrush, a straw cleaning brush, or an interdental gap brush). Gently insert the bristles into the water outlet nozzle and scrub around the inner rim to loosen any trapped mineral crust or sediment.

3.3. Wipe with a food-safe descaling solution: Breaks down hard water minerals.

Dampen a clean microfiber cloth with warm water mixed with a splash of white vinegar or lemon juice. Wrap the cloth around your finger and firmly wipe the outer and inner rim of the nozzle tip to dissolve stubborn white calcium scaling.

4.4. Run a test dispense cycle: Flushes away loose particles.

Turn the touch display panel back on. Place a large mug underneath and dispense 1 to 2 cups of water continuously. This flushes out any loosened mineral particles and verifies that the water stream has returned to a clean, single flow.

What if the water is still spraying?

If you have thoroughly brushed and descaled the nozzle tip but the stream continues to split or spray, there may be a deeper blockage or a structural crack inside the internal nozzle assembly.
