Sterra Moon — Steady Blue Light on RingUpdated 12 hours ago
If your Sterra Moon’s air quality indicator ring stays constantly on a steady blue light, please be completely reassured. This does not automatically mean your air purifier is broken or that its particle detection chip has failed!
A steady blue light indicates that the machine's internal Optical Particulate Sensor is registering the surrounding air as completely clean and within a safe, optimal baseline. Because modern homes can often maintain low particle counts, it is common for the sensor to remain on blue for extended periods. However, if you suspect the sensor might be unresponsive or "frozen" on blue even when dust or vapors are present, you can easily run a quick diagnostic test at home to verify that the sensor is reading environmental changes correctly.
You can safely trigger the tracking array and test its real-time responsiveness by following this simple moisture-mist verification sequence:
The Airflow Sensor Responsiveness Test
Please keep the Sterra Moon plugged in, turned on, and running in an open area before performing this test:
1.Locate the Recessed Sensor Intake Vent
Walk to the rear of your Sterra Moon and locate the small, perforated sensor grille built into the back of the chassis.
This intake houses the sensitive optical lens that continuously samples the micro-particles and humidity levels in your room's air column.
2.Introduce a Gentle Moisture Mist
Take a standard household spray bottle filled with clean water, adjust the nozzle to a very fine mist setting, or use a facial misting device.
Hold the spray bottle approximately 10 to 20 cm away from the rear sensor grille and spray a gentle, light puff of water mist into the air directly behind the vent. Important: Do not spray water directly into the machine or saturate the housing; a light airborne mist hovering near the intake is all that is required for the sensor to draw it in.
3.Observe the Front Indicator Ring Reaction
Immediately walk around to the front of the Sterra Moon and watch the central display ring:
If the light shifts color (e.g., changes to Purple or Red): The sensor successfully registered the sudden densification of moisture particles in the air tracking stream! This proves your air purifier's sensor is highly responsive and working perfectly as intended. The light will return to blue once the fan purges the mist.
If the light stays strictly on Blue: If the ring continues to show a steady blue light without a single flicker or shift during the mist test, go to the support section below.
What to Do If the Indicator Light Remains Stubbornly Frozen
If your diagnostic test confirms that the front ring stubbornly remains steady blue without any reaction after introducing the moisture mist, a deep layer of micro-dust film may be completely covering the internal optical lens, or a sensor calibration lock may be present.
Because the internal sensor array is integrated directly into the core circuitry of the upper dome assembly to keep it completely sealed against air leaks, it cannot be safely opened or manually rewired at home.
Please log into our Customer Support portal to hand over your file directly to a live technical specialist so we can arrange a showroom inspection:
1.Record a Continuous 1-Minute Verification Video
Set up your smartphone to record both the rear sensor vent and the front light ring. Record a continuous video of at least 1 minute capturing your diagnostic test.
Start the video by spraying the gentle water mist 10–20 cm away from the rear sensor, then immediately pan the camera to the front display panel to show that the light ring remains completely frozen on a steady blue color without shifting. Let the clip run continuously for a full minute.
2.Submit Your Direct Support Request
Log into your account portal, attach your 1-minute video, and copy-and-paste the following message directly to our live agents:

Submit a support ticket describing the issue.
Attach a short video (at least 1 minute long) showing the error happening. This will help our technical team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster for you.
📌 Support Message Template: "The indicator ring on my Sterra Moon is showing a steady blue light and is completely unresponsive to environmental changes. I have followed the Help Center guide to perform the moisture mist sensor test at a distance of 10–20 cm, but the indicator remains frozen on blue. I have attached the required 1-minute troubleshooting video showing the lack of sensor reaction for immediate handover to a live agent so I can schedule a diagnostic drop-off at the showroom."
