Sterra Moon — Red Light Blinking in EyeballUpdated 12 hours ago
If the central "eyeball" display on your Sterra Moon begins pulsing with a blinking red light, please be completely reassured. This is not a hardware error code, a motor warning, or a sign of a system failure!
This visual alert is your air purifier’s automated Filter Life Expiry Indicator. Your Sterra Moon features an internal tracker that monitors cumulative operational hours. When the filtration core reaches the end of its optimal lifespan and becomes saturated with captured dust, allergens, and micro-particles, the motherboard triggers this flashing red light to let you know it is time to refresh your system for maximum air purification efficiency.
You can easily sync your filter tracking and clear this alert at home by following this quick evaluation sequence:
The Filter Tracking & Maintenance Audit
Please review your filter usage history to determine the correct step for your machine:
1.Audit Your Recent Filter Replacement History
Think back to the last time you physically swapped out the cylindrical filter core at the bottom of your Sterra Moon:
Scenario A (Recently Replaced): If you physically installed a brand-new filter within the last month, your current filter is perfectly clean! The red light is simply flashing because the internal counter was not manually reset during the swap. Skip directly to Step 3.
Scenario B (Not Replaced Recently): If you have been using the same filter for several months, or if you cannot remember the last time it was changed, proceed to Step 2.
2.Install a Fresh Sterra Moon Filter Core
Turn off and unplug the air purifier. Twist open the bottom base cover, pull out the old, saturated filter, and slide in a fresh, authentic Sterra Moon replacement filter.
Ensure it sits completely level and flush within the tracking rails, then lock the base cover securely back into place. Plug the unit back into the wall outlet and power it on.
3.Trigger the Motherboard Counter Reset
With the unit powered on, locate the Ring Light Button on the main touch control panel.
Press and hold the Ring Light Button continuously for a full 7 seconds. Keep your finger firmly on the touch sensor until you hear a clear, distinct "beep" sound emit from the device.
📌 System Confirmation: The moment the machine beeps, release the button. The blinking red light inside the eyeball will instantly turn off and return to its normal clean-air color baseline (blue or green). This confirms the internal tracking clock has successfully reset to zero and is now accurately monitoring your clean filter core!
