Sterra Moon — Not Detecting Smoke or Polluted AirUpdated 13 hours ago
If your Sterra Moon’s air quality indicator light remains consistently blue (indicating clean air) even when there is visible smoke, cooking odors, or dust in the room, please be completely reassured. This does not mean your air purifier has stopped filtering the air or that its fan motor is underperforming!
This symptom points to a Localized Airflow Sensor Interruption. The Sterra Moon utilizes a sensitive, recessed particulate sensor inside its rear housing to continuously measure ambient micro-particles. Over time, an excessive accumulation of fine dust, lint, or pet dander can settle directly over the sensor's optical lens. When this lens becomes obscured, the sensor's vision gets blocked, causing it to read the trapped clean air pocket instead of the actual room environment and fail to shift colors.
Because the optical sensor housing is built directly into the core circuitry of the upper dome assembly to keep it completely sealed against air leaks, it cannot be safely opened or rewired through home troubleshooting steps.
Moving Forward: Fast-Track Your Resolution
To bypass complex home diagnostics and ensure your air quality sensors are perfectly calibrated and restored, your file requires an immediate handover to our service team so we can coordinate an in-person technical evaluation.
Please log into our Customer Support portal to submit your direct request:
1.Record a Continuous 1-Minute Verification Video:1 Minute.
Plug your Sterra Moon into a working outlet and turn it on in an area with visible smoke, cooking vapors, or known air pollutants. Record a continuous video of at least 1 minute capturing the machine's reaction.
Start the video by showing the surrounding air condition or safely introducing an explicit air pollutant near the rear sensor intake vents, then focus the camera directly on the front display ring to show it stubbornly remaining blue. Let the camera run continuously for a full minute to document the lack of response.
2.Submit Your Direct Support Request:1 Minute.

📌 Support Message Template: "The air quality sensor on my Sterra Moon is not detecting smoke or polluted air, and the indicator light remains frozen on blue. I have read the Help Center guide and verified that this indicates a localized airflow sensor blockage or internal calibration fault. I have attached the required 1-minute troubleshooting video demonstrating the lack of environmental detection for immediate file handover to a live agent so I can schedule a diagnostic drop-off at the showroom."
