Sterra Moon — Manual Filter Reset After Changing FilterUpdated 13 hours ago
If you have just replaced the filtration core in your Sterra Moon but the system is still displaying a filter tracking alert, or if you simply want to manually reset the internal timer, please be completely reassured. This tracking behavior is a normal part of the machine's automated countdown system.
Your Sterra Moon is engineered with an internal Volumetric Life Counter that meticulously tracks cumulative operational hours. When you slide in a fresh filter, the internal motherboard doesn't automatically detect the physical swap on its own. To let the system know a new filter is in place, you just need to send a simple manual override command to reset the countdown tracker back to 100%.
Depending on whether your machine was actively flashing a replacement alert or if you chose to swap the filter early, here is exactly how to manage your system tracking:
How to Perform the Standard Filter Reset Sequence
If your Sterra Moon is currently displaying a blinking red filter change indicator light, the internal counter is actively waiting for a manual reset confirmation.
Please execute these steps while the unit is plugged in and powered on:
1.Trigger the Motherboard Manual Override Command:.
Locate the Ring Light Button on your Sterra Moon’s main touch control panel.
Press and hold the Ring Light Button continuously for a full 7 seconds. Do not lift your finger until you hear a clear, distinct "beep" sound emit from the device.
2.Confirm the System Log Reset.
The moment the machine beeps, release the button. The blinking red alert light will instantly switch off, confirming that the internal memory log has successfully flushed out the old data and reset the filter life counter back to zero.
Important System Note: Early Filter Replacements
📌 What if I changed my filter early before the red light started blinking?
If you decide to replace your Sterra Moon filter early (for instance, during spring cleaning or after home renovations) while the indicator light is still green or blue, the system does not have a hard reset option available.
You cannot force a tracking reset until the machine's internal timer finishes its current cycle. Please review how the system handles this below:
Continuous Tracking: Your air purifier's life counter will simply continue tracking from its previous operational count. It will not hurt your new filter or affect the machine's performance in any way.
Future Reset Action: Simply continue using your air purifier normally. The moment the internal timer finally hits its limit, the blinking red light indicator will appear on your panel. As soon as that happens, just follow the 7-second button hold sequence outlined above to reset the clock and put your tracking schedules completely back in sync!
