If you notice a dark section or a distinct black spot breaking up the continuous glow of your Sterra Moon's circular ring light, please be completely reassured. This does not mean the main air purification engine has suffered a failure or that your device is unsafe to use!
This visual symptom is caused by a Localized Display Circuit Interruption. The ambient ring light on your Sterra Moon relies on a series of integrated surface-mounted LEDs arrayed behind a protective translucent eyeball cover. If a single LED bulb in the sequence burns out, or if a minor dust particle shifts and becomes trapped behind the optical cover, it creates an isolated shadow or a "black spot" along the light loop while the rest of the ring stays illuminated.
Because the precision LED ring track and the protective eyeball cover are permanently sealed within the upper dome assembly at the factory to shield the electronics from moisture, they cannot be opened, cleaned, or rewired through home troubleshooting steps.
