Sterra Beam — Weak Suction ForceUpdated 13 hours ago
If your Sterra Beam feels like it is losing its pulling power or leaving debris behind on your floors, please try not to worry. This rarely means the motor is failing. Because the Sterra Beam is a high-performance wet-and-dry system, its suction depends entirely on a perfectly sealed, unobstructed stream of airflow.
When suction drops, it is almost always a sign that the machine's "airway" is being choked by a full waste tank, a clogged filter, or a physical clump of debris. Restoring full power usually takes less than five minutes.
Suction Optimization Checklist
Please walk through these troubleshooting steps in order to clear the airflow path and maximize your vacuum's suction power:
Empty the Dirty Water Tank
Look at your Dirty Water Tank. If wastewater has reached the MAX fill line, the built-in safety float switch will automatically engage, cutting off air suction entirely to prevent water from entering the motor. Empty the tank completely, rinse the filter lid, and click it securely back into place.
Clean the Floor Brush Mouth & Neck
Turn the vacuum off and remove the translucent brush window cover. Look directly behind where the roller sits into the suction intake throat. Wet hair, large debris, or heavy dirt clumps can get wedged here. Use a small cleaning brush or your fingers to completely clear out this suction mouth so air can flow freely up the pipe.
Remove and De-clog the Roller Brush
Lift the cylindrical micro-fiber brush roll out of its housing. Inspect the roller itself and the gear tracks on either side. Use a pair of scissors to snip away any tightly wrapped hair or carpet threads that might be choking the brush head cavity and disrupting the vacuum seal against the floor.
Check Your Battery Level
Look at the digital display screen on your handle. When the Sterra Beam's lithium-ion battery drops to critically low levels, the smart power management system may automatically scale back motor output to preserve battery life. If your battery is low, place the unit on its dock for a full charge to restore maximum suction power.
Still Experiencing Weak Suction?
If you have completely emptied the dirty tank, cleared the brush roller, washed out any clogs from the suction throat, and the machine still has barely any pulling power on a full charge, there may be a deeper blockage or a microscopic gap in one of the rubber airtight seals.

📌 What to tell us: Let our agent know: "My Sterra Beam has weak suction. I have already emptied the dirty water tank, verified the battery is fully charged, and thoroughly cleared both the brush roll and the intake mouth of all debris clogs, but the suction force hasn't improved."
