Sterra Beam — Not Spraying WaterUpdated 13 hours ago
If your Sterra Beam turns on and vacuums normally but refuses to spray water onto the floor, please be reassured that the internal pump is rarely broken. In almost all cases, the water path is simply being blocked by an air pocket, an empty supply tank, or localized debris build-up near the spray nozzles.
Because this system uses a precision pressurized line to mist water onto the floor roller, any small physical barrier can stop the flow.
How to Restore the Water Spray Flow
Please walk through this step-by-step checklist to clear the water lines and restore your spray function:
Verify the Clean Water Supply:
Remove your Clean Water Tank and ensure it is filled with fresh water. Even if a tiny bit of water is visible at the bottom, the machine requires a minimum water volume to prime the pump and create proper spraying pressure.
Disconnect from the Charging Dock:
Ensure the Sterra Beam is completely removed from its charging dock. For safety reasons, the device activates an internal lockout feature while docked that disables the active water pump and motorized spray lines.
Clear and Detach the Floor Brush:
Turn the machine off and pull out the roller brush cartridge. Inspect the brush cylinder thoroughly. If a thick layer of hair, lint, or carpet fibers is tightly wrapped around the roller, it can physically block the spray mist from ever reaching the floor. Snip away any hair wraps with scissors.
Inspect and Clean the Suction Mouth:
Look closely at the plastic suction mouth and the tiny spray nozzle holes directly behind where the roller sits. Use a small cleaning brush (or a toothpick) to gently clear away any trapped wet dust, grime, or pet hair blocking these ports. A tiny clotted clump of wet dirt here can completely choke off the water flow.
Test and Re-prime the Pump:.
Reassemble the brush roll and cover. Stand the vacuum up, turn it ON, and run it across the floor normally. Press and hold your water spray trigger button for 10 to 15 seconds. It may take a few moments of continuous running for the pump to completely purge any trapped air bubbles and push water through the freshly cleared nozzles.
Still Not Spraying?
If your clean tank is completely full, the brush head and spray nozzle holes are spotlessly clean, you are off the charging dock, and the machine still refuses to release a single drop of water, an internal water line connection may have slipped out of place during transit or heavy use.

📌 What to tell us: Let our agent know: "My Sterra Beam is not spraying water. I have already verified the clean water tank is full, cleared the brush roller, cleaned out the nozzle ports with a small brush, and tested it off the dock, but no water releases."
