Sterra Beam — Display Shows F8Updated 14 hours ago

If your Sterra Beam display screen is flashing the error code F8, please be reassured that your device has not permanently failed.

This specific code indicates that one of the built-in thermal safety sensors has detected a brief internal temperature variance. This usually happens if the device has been running continuously on its highest setting for an extended period, or if the internal motor is working extra hard to process heavy loads. To protect the motor and battery health, the smart circuit board temporarily pauses operations so the machine can cool down safely.

The Cooling & Reset Process

Because these sensitive electronic sensors track thermal data, a quick 5-second power flip will not clear the code. The system requires a combination of a resting period and a fresh system reboot.

Power Down and Let It Rest:.

Press the power button to turn your Sterra Beam completely OFF. Place the device in a cool, well-ventilated, shady area out of direct sunlight.

Allow the Device to Cool for 30–60 Minutes:

Leave the device completely turned off and untouched for at least 30 to 60 minutes. This extended pause is necessary to allow the internal motor housing and surrounding battery cells to shed trapped heat and return entirely to standard room temperature.

Restart the Sterra Beam:.

Once the device feels completely cool to the touch, press the power button to turn it back ON. The internal system will execute a fresh boot-up scan, see that all temperature levels are perfectly safe, and automatically clear the F8 code so you can return to normal use.

What to Do If the F8 Code Won't Clear

For the vast majority of users, letting the device rest and shed its heat entirely resolves the alert. However, if you have allowed the Sterra Beam to cool down completely for an hour, and the F8 error code reappears immediately the moment you turn it back on, the internal thermal sensor may be experiencing a loose connection.

Please do not attempt to open or dismantle the device casing yourself. Instead, connect with our Customer Support Team right away.

  1. Log in to our Customer Support Portal.

  2. Submit a support ticket describing the issue.

  3. Attach a short video (at least 1 minute long) showing the error happening. This will help our technical team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster for you.

📌 What to tell us: Let our agent know: "My Sterra Beam is displaying error code F8. I have already let the device rest and cool down completely for an hour, but the error code flashes again immediately upon restarting."
