Sterra Beam — Display Shows F1Updated 14 hours ago

If your Sterra Beam display screen is flashing the error code F1, please be reassured that your device has not permanently broken down.

This specific code indicates a temporary Battery Connection Interruption. The internal control board has simply lost electronic communication with the battery pack. This occasionally happens if the unit is bumped, moved rapidly, or if the battery cartridge didn't quite click all the way into its original factory alignment.

Restoring the connection and clearing the screen takes just a few moments.

How to Clear the F1 Error Code

Please walk through these simple steps to physically reset the battery connection and reboot the system software:

Power Off the Device:.

Press and hold the power button to turn your Sterra Beam completely OFF. Never attempt to remove or adjust the battery pack while the display screen is still actively trying to run.

Remove and Firmly Reseat the Battery:

Locate the battery compartment on your Sterra Beam. Slide the battery pack completely out of its housing. Check the internal slot quickly to ensure no dust or debris is blocking the metal connection pins. Then, slide the battery back in firmly, pressing down until you feel or hear it click completely locked into place.

Reboot the System:.

Press the power button to turn your Sterra Beam back ON. The internal computer will execute a fresh startup scan, detect the secure battery connection, and automatically clear the F1 code so you can return to normal operation.

What to Do If the F1 Code Returns

For the vast majority of users, firmly clicking the battery cartridge back into its slot completely eliminates the error.

However, if you have fully removed and reseated the battery pack and the F1 error code remains frozen on the screen or flashes immediately upon boot-up, the battery's internal contact chips or the power board may require a professional look.
