Sterra S — Filter Replacement
The Sterra S has two separate filter bottles, and each one is replaced on its own schedule.
Filter Bottle 1 on the Sterra S needs to be replaced every 4 months, or as soon as the filter indicator light on the Sterra S flashes white
Filter Bottle 2 on the Sterra S needs to be replaced every 8 months, or as soon as the filter indicator light on the Sterra S flashes red
If the filter indicator on the Sterra S flashes both white and red at the same time, both Filter Bottle 1 and Filter Bottle 2 on the Sterra S need to be replaced.

Sterra X — Filter Replacement
The filter in the Sterra X needs to be replaced every 6 months.
The Sterra X does not have a filter indicator light, so the owner will need to keep track of this 6-month duration themselves. For example, by setting a personal reminder from the purchase or installation date.
